In Fox’s Footsteps 1652 Country Quaker Pilgrimage

We’re excited to announce that our popular Quaker pilgrimages are set to return to Swarthmoor Hall in June 2024 following a break of five years due to the pandemic and restoration works. The pilgrimages will run from:

Sunday 23 June – Thursday 27 June

Monday 16 September – Friday 20 September (German-speaking)

Pilgrimage participants will stay at Swarthmoor Hall, cradle of the Quaker movement and home to Margaret Fell and later George Fox. This spiritual journey will transport you to the heart of the Quaker movement, offering a unique opportunity to explore historic meeting houses and early Quaker sites.

Swarthmoor Hall is located just outside the vibrant and historic market town of Ulverston in Cumbria, which boasts a wide selection of independent restaurants, cafés and pubs.

Who can attend the pilgrimage?

You don’t have to be a Quaker to attend the pilgrimage. This spiritual experience is open to all: individuals, couples and groups. Pilgrims from across the world come to experience Quaker country.
